The Central Events and Conferencing Office is a new unit created by Stellenbosch University. This unit sits outside the traditional University framework in a spin out company, Factory 209 (Pty) Ltd, which is 100% owned by SU. This exciting new unit is looking for dynamic new talent to further grow the business in 2022 and beyond.

Junior Production Manager

Salary: Market related 

Location: Stellenbosch

Description

Manage the sales, administration, planning and execution of all film and still shoots on SU Campuses. Support management with strategic planning and strategy implementation. This includes but is not limited to Stellenbosch University internal activity, local and international sales, and marketing activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications/education/ Training 
  • Diploma or 3-year degree in Film, broadcast, performing arts or similar
Professional Experience 
  • 3-5 years in a Film/TV Industry Coordination role  or similar
Professional skills 
  • In depth knowledge of the TV and Film Industry
  • Excellent sales track record
  • Excellent customer service record
  • Familiar with standard quoting and invoicing procedures
  • Above average organisational and planning skills
  • Familiar with business principles and practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Report writing (proposals, sales pitches, presentations)
  • Meticulous and detail orientated
  • Film Shoot support services intermediate knowledge

o   (Crew, Gear, Logistics, Catering etc.)

  • Sound knowledge of the SASREA act
  • Sound knowledge of SANS 2020
  • Sound knowledge of standard event health and safety
